So guys, after trying those 25mm drop footpegs and realising they stick my feet out too much I decided to get a local fabricators involved to knock up some footpeg relocating brackets

I had inspiration from an old poster on the forum so can't take credit as he'd already done a version!

I'm a right leg below knee amputee so use a thumb brake. My prosthetic leg isn't great on 'sports ' bikes bur I decided the Speedy was upright and comfy enough as opposed to my previous R1...

These plates drop the standard pegs down and back 25mm... enough for extra comfort but still OK for road riding. The plates are 10mm thick but not noticeable

The only mod was having to relocate the gear shift rod out the frame... not ideal - not pretty but doesn't affect the foot gear shifting

Here's pics of both sides... no brake cylinder on the right as its on my bars with the thumb brake. Gear shift shows b4 and after...

    ;)

I was going to say...... I rode an older friends zzr 1400 where he'd dropped the pegs for comfort : unamused:
Let's just say, they didn't suit my cornering style
Under your circumstances, whatever ticks the box and keeps you riding goes :eyes:

I have seen a few people use a gear lever off a YZ80 that removes the need for the shift rod
