For anyone who's followed my recent tale of woe the problem has now been resolved and my Speedie is back up and BRUMMING.
When I got it back in order I said that I would do some investigations in to why the T1292370 Ignition Unit packed up; so thanks to the combined efforts of Storms Desmond, Eva and now Frank I have had time to have a good look at it. I've found a discoloured pin and what looks like a hairline crack on the back of the unit. This possible crack appears to extend to the socket and on to the pin base board, so, my thinking is that this was the possible cause of the trouble. Anyhow it's all in the attached file if anyone's interested. It's a bit wordy but it might help some other poor sod.

Yep, everything's turning and burning like new again. Just a pity our glorious weather is stopping me gettin' out and about plus the state of the roads after storm ain't helping either. Roll on Spring
