    Hi All
My first post as the newest newbie and would like a bit of advice please....
I’m currently riding a 2012 Street Triple and want to buy a Speed Triple (£10k budget). Not sure whether to go for a nearly new 2020 ‘S’ spec or a 2018/19 ‘RS’ with around 6000 miles on the clock? I know the ‘S’ has Showa suspn, no belly pan, seat cowl etc. or Arrow cans but I would plan to put a low slung end can on eventually anyway - any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated
    Cheers

Hi Happy, my advice is go with whatever makes you happiest. The sad truth is all bikes depreciate so as it's not about money making you might as well go with whichever one makes you feel the best when you ride or look at it. If the RS has everything you want on it then there will be less after sales expenditure, but go with your gut.

Welcome to the family. I also say go with the one that rocks your boat. Or should that be your bike. Most people know what they are going to get they just want the inmate to justify the purchase. So go test then buy the bike you were intending to in the first place and come back and show the inmate what they made you buy.
    Regards & Ride Safe
    Joe.

Welcome to a terrific forum, Happy Pants! And Happy Shopping, too.:)

I have a 2019 Speed Triple RS and love it. I liked the additional goodies on the RS and have made a few minor changes to m y bike (tail tidy, wind screen, front turn signals, etc.) but overall didn't feel the need to change anything major. But I'm in complete agreement with those who have already said to go with your gut and choose the bike you really want which will most likely be your best choice in the long run. Test ride them both if possible. Then when you buy, like Joe said, come back and show us what you chose with a few photos!
