    Hi All,

Has anybody on here converted a 1200RR to RS?

Recently on ebay a dealer was selling new RSR - ie an RR converted to an RS, an RS with electronic suspension & called it an RS-R.
I guess its just a parts bin change over? Has anyone done it? I had a quick look on the parts catalogue & the most expensive part seems to be the Headlight for the RS.

Yesterday whilst cycling near York (UK) a red 1200RR passed me fitted with conventional sit up bars but still had the RR fairing. Was it anyone on here?

I'm in my third year with the RR & still happy but maybe some time in the future would consider the conversion.

You will need to swop the top yoke for the RR, there are a number of specialists who make top yokes for straight bars as an alternative to high Triumph prices, however you will have to factor in new brake lines, also some wiring may need re routing as these will be to tight and restrict the turning circle leading to the machine being unsafe to ride, unless adequate clearance is obtained. Some dealers are heavily discounting the RR models, I recently saw a new one advertised at £12,000, if you can get on with the low riding position just enjoy it until you find the position to uncomfortable.
