Fitted a simple 5m LED SparkBright Voltage Monitor to my 1995 Daytona 1200 today. She sits unused for periods of time and this device allows me to see the status of the battery at a glance. With the engine running it will alert me to overcharging (regulator problems) or under/not charging (alternator problems) too. Great little device for a low £16 and £1/£2/£3 postage, UK, Europe & Worldwide respectively. I don't have this bike on a battery tender and never know what status the battery is so I like this as a ready reckoner.

It's already like mission-feckin'-control on bikes these days. I want fewer displays, not more! :D

I went a slightly different route mine shows engine temperature for the main part but periodically shows the charging voltage while the engine is running and when you first turn on the ignition will show the battery voltage. 20200716_150906.jpg

I use these and they're a brilliant bit of kit along with being nice and subtle. It saved my bike going up in smoke when it was reporting a lack of voltage so I checked the reg/rec and stator only to find a burn't connector.

+1 on the Sparkbright monitor LEDs.

I've got 3 of these to fit when I get the chance and they were all supplied as 'custom builds' by Sparkbright. I asked for slightly longer leads for the one intended for my Trident - the other two are for Street Triples - and all have jointed fly leads so that the fairings can be detached easily.

I went for the "looks like an alarm" option so the LED flashes when the ignition is off and reverts to monitor function when running. The company are fantastic to deal with; fitting and use instructions are excellent, the product looks to be very high quality and very well made and should be very simple to fit and use. And it's made in Britain. :D:cool:

That's why it's on my old Daytona 1200 and not my TFT'd Tiger 1200 which seems to have a message for every occasion! I like the simplicity of the LED, Red=Bad
