Hello from Glendale az. First time cruiser owner. Lifelong sportbike rider. Still have my ZX14R. But, have always wanted a Triumph. The Speedmaster’s style caught my eye. Had to have one. Bought one across the country. Just waiting for shipping.

bought a 18 with fusion white. Already waiting on parts to personalize. Probably going to change to mid controls too. I have short legs and am too used to sportsbikes.

Look forward to getting good info here. Will post pics when I get the bike. Here is a photo from the dealership.

Hi Brutusvk and welcome to the forum  love the Speedmaster. You may find the forwards are not as far as other cruisers, but some rides will let you know what suits you best :p

I went to a dealership and went between the bobber and speedmaster about 100 times. Leaning towards replacing with mids.

Super short legs make the forwards a real reach. I am tippie toed on my ninja. But I want this bike to be very natural.

Welcome to the forum and to the wonderful world of Triumph, Brutusvk! I'm just down the road from you in Tucson and I have a Speed Triple RS. I love the Speedmaster and would probably opt for that over the Bobber though I like those, too. I'd suggest riding with the forwards for a bit to see what you think. I've not ridden a Speedmaster but have sat on one at the dealership and the foot controls don't seem super far forward to me (I'm 5'7"). They may just feel weird to you since you're so used to a sport bike position. I wonder if you can put floorboards on the Speedmaster? I have those on one of my bikes (a touring model) and love them for a more relaxed ride. Floorboards also give you more flexibility in foot/leg position. Looking forward to hearing about your new bike and seeing more photos!

they do have floor boards available. I am gonna hold off on ordering the mids. I will try it out stock.

Already have mirrors, aftermarket windscreen, heated grips and aux power ordered. So I have other projects to keep me busy. My poor ninja will be sad.

Looking forward to future pics of your new Speedmaster with mods and also hearing what you think of the kids. Maybe sure to give that ninja a little love, too. ;):joy:

    Like the bike!

You might want to change the gearing as they are "geared for the moon"... can use a gear reduction. I went with 16T & 40T. Much better around town, easier on the clutch and can still break the "ton".

will keep that in mind. My current bike will go over 85 in first gear lol (the joke is a felony in first gear)

So, a cruiser is going to be a change, that’s for sure. Actually, it will be my slowest vehicle besides my dually truck. But, it will have some of the best smiles per miles
