I took the dog out for a walk this morning and it almost felt like summer, had to even take my coat off. So i decided to go out for a ride in my leathers and summer gloves today, what a mistake that was.... it was bloody freezing, i almost felt like crying in my helmet on the way home :(

Did anyone else on here make that same mistake today?

Rode home from Cardiff today. I was well wrapped up, also had my heat gloves and vest on. It was a great day for riding.:)

I did think about taking the bike out but there's still a bit of salt about.
Got caught out last year and ended up with some furry nuts and bolts.
Hopefully it wont be to much longer.

Was out on two wheels earlier today but it was pedal power! Great clear day and the peddling kept me quite warm.

I used to ride all year round whether it was icy or a foot of snow (before I had the car).

Nothing funny about snow piling up in your crotch area!

My worst ride was heading home from the lakes in Feb, when icicles were hanging from ledges at the side of the road...
couldn't move out of the "riding position" when I got off the bike.

I've even burnt my finger prints off before in winter.... on my 30 mile daily commute (on my old 250 twin) I used to grab the down pipes at traffic lights to warm my hands up a bit....held on a little bit longer than I should, but didn't feel a thing.

Warm weather riding only for me now ... little bit older, little bit wiser?
