Ok this is minor, but damn if my techno-phobic brain can figure it out

You know how on the digital display you can scroll thru the riding modes and trip info with the push of a button (mode or info respectively).

Well every time I start the bike it goes to the next one on both displays.

If I was in road the last ride, it puts me in sport automatically when I start her up.
Trip 1 goes to trip 2 ... etc.

    weirdest damn thing.

gotta be something silly I'm doing wrong.

any ideas that I'll kick myself for not thinking of?

    TIA

Huh, that’s a head scratcher for sure. The fact that you’re keenly aware of it would lead me to believe it’s the bike and not you.
Does it do it even if you just turn on the key, change modes, and turn it off again?

(other random thought: do you have a practical joker in your house?? )

    problem solved....dying battery.

Over the last 2 weeks, battery has failed to hold a charge x2 (11.9v) and even reset the trip odometer when parked at work.

So placed a new battery in her and for whatever reason that seemed to have fixed the issue.

Why? I have no frickin idea.

guess this was an early warning but this electronic crap is all Greek to me, no offense to our friends in Athens or my favorite, Naxos.
