    Greetings All,

I recently removed the King & Queen seat and passenger backrest from my '012 Bonneville and put the factory original seat back on.

Wow! I forgot how hard that seat is, so I'm looking for a similar style comfy alternative.

    It appears these folks have some possibilities;

    Thoughts? Recommendations?

Note that two-up riding is not a requirement.

    Thanks!

During the time I had Bonnevilles the only seat that I found comfortable was the King and Queen seat.
They may be fugly but they are comfy!! I think you will have to go a long way and spend to get a similar level of comfort. But it's all about personal preference so what may be comfy to one will be a pain to others.

Best of luck with your quest!

Yeah, I agree with your assessment.

I had correspondence today with 'Saddlemen' about their cafe option. It was indicated that it will be "...more comfortable than your stock seat, but it is a short range seat...".

Perhaps I'll go ahead with that option and put the K&Q back on for longer distance use.

    Thanks!

You could have your factory one re-covered with extra padding added if you like the look. I had my Street Triple one done and it made a big difference.

    Thanks for responding.

    Was the original cover reused?

No, I opted for a different one.

    Okay, thanks.

I've found a local shop (frankly, I'm surprised), but haven't settled yet on a cover.

Have you considered getting a gel pad added under the existing cover? I've adapted two previous bikes this way, one of them a '17 T100, and they both went from 60 mins max to all day comfy. Much cheaper than a branded K&Q or similar and you keep the stock look.

Interesting. I have not. I'll look into it.

    Thanks!
