seat compatability?

Morning all,

new to the forum and have not long bought my 16 plate America, when i bought the bike i asked my dealer to swap the standard seat for a single, was told yes not a problem, now nearly two months on they are saying that Triumph don't yet do a single / solo seat for the 2016 America, a friend of mine has the 07 America with a single seat and it all seems to align with mine bolt hole wise can any one tell me if my dealer is fobbing me off?

also looking to change the standard baffles quiet exhausts to something a little louder cant actually cut my exhausts as iv'e bought it on P.I.P.

no I've not tried my friends seat, but all the fixing points seem to be in the same place.

 

not great with doing photos so bare with me, i'm a bit erratic with replies too as im a chef and work 18 hours a day 6 days a week

it doesn't come with a tacho as standard either, so have managed to find one and fit it, also had a sissy bar fitted so i can attach luggage if i need to, trying to find panniers at a reasonable price at the moment along with slash cut / modified exhausts as mine are just way way too quiet.

new to triumph, have had Harleys for the last couple of years, are parts very interchangable on them?

not a great polish person, i tend to ride them and ride them and occasionally give them a blast with the jet wash, dont mind paying for parts but i refuse to pay dealer prices and some of the prices i'm seeing on eBay are just as bad if not worse.

 

it's actually off the speedmaster, literally plug and play undo the three allen head bolts holding the shiney plastic shroud, pop out the Triumph logo bit, put in the tacho (there is a little securing lug that the bolt secures into) plug the loose connector in and away you go
