Would like a change of pace and seriously looking at the Thruxton because the lower bars and rear sets are already done. But, and it's a big but..I would prefer the SE alloy wheels. I know it's not period correct and all that..I just prefer them.
Method and pitfalls please. Has anyone done it?

Just bought an SE Marco. Looked closely at Thruxton for same reasons but a set of rear sets and ace bars will do the trick for me for the Brighton Burn up in September. That way, I can tour France and Belgium in June and cafe race easily on my own if and when I wish. Just a thought, good luck.
