    I don't know where exactly where you can get them but I do know this, from my Valkyrie days:

    1. The rider backrest comes as part of the spec for a replacement seat. The backrest support usually slides into a receptacle built into the seat itself;

    2. The likes of Corbin will supply you with a new seat backrest combo;

    3. I found the different in comfort and support for my back nothing short of miraculous !

    If you ask the supplier to say it's a 2nd hand seat there are no import duties.

    It might depend on your jacket! I'd suggest trying one out if you can as I discovered that the back armour in my jacket tended to force me further forward than I wanted to be. I'm sure that without the armour it would probably have been OK.
