is anyone using Ricor Intiminators? I have them on my 1992 Sportster and they greatly improve the suspension action. I’m thinking of getting some Hagon progressive springs in the coming year, and that would be the time to fit them. I thought of just robbing them from the Sportster, but the fork diameters don’t match (Sportster has 39mm not 41mm forks). I’m open to suggestions on this. The K&Q seat is a great improvement, and spending some time tightening and fiddling with fork and handlebar bolts while fitting the screen, seems to have eliminated the former “tingle” from the throttle.
45Brit2017 Great the right bar end weights do improve vibration. Also I tend to when I do my mirrors and bolts just smear some silicon around them and this improves the vibration immensely. Regards & Ride Safe Joe.
My Sportster has Hagon progressives and Emulators, they work well together. I tried progressives on the Sporty but didn’t really feel the benefit till I got the emulators.
I’ve ricors on my Thruxton, Stock springs and hagons on the back, they’re a great improvement especially when it comes to those overcooked corners!
Just wondered were we find them. I have searched in the past and could not find any for the 2018 900 Bonnie. Happy New Year. Joe
HNY all, I’ve been thinking about getting some, although they’re called emulators, they do the same job. I came across Bike Revival Uk,which do all sorts of suspension stuff, including YSS emulators @ £65 delivered. I can give a heads up on YSS quality so will probably give them a go.
YSS looks worth investigating. The Hagon progressive springs were a definite improvement over the Sportster’s notoriously soft OEM equipment (plus, the originals were at least twenty years old....) and the Ricor units greatly improved the inadequate damping. The silencers, K&Q seat and touring screen have transformed the Bonneville T100. I was thinking of replacing it, probably with a 900 Street Twin but I’m thinking now of experimenting with some sort of suspension upgrade.
Had a pair of YSS emulators on my speedmaster, some need a spacer to go underneath, due to shape of top end of damping tube end, but they are worthwhile.
