hey guys, I have a 2011 street triple which I use to commute but am looking to take on the occasional track day. I feel proper racing leather 1 pieces are a bit too much on a street triple. Purely for the looks I feel retro leather jacket and trousers would be more suitable. Anyone got any recommendations that would be good and hard wearing for my daily commute but also track legal? Don't want to have to splash out on both.

i think any jacket and trouser would be fine but they have to be able to zip together

most jackets and trousers that will zip together should be ok but you might be better phoning a track just to make sure, they might want the jacket and trouser to have protection in them, but most have that nowadays anyway, you will find the lighter weight or more casual style jackets don't have a zip to connect to the trousers so you wouldn't be allowed on track with them

Segura do some cool retro jackets as do Halvarsons but i'm not sure if they zip to trousers as they are the kind of jackets you could wear anytime not just on the bike

With regards to trackday clothing, for No limits trackdays a full leather 1 piece suit or a fully zipped together 2 piece. The zip must enclose the full torso and with no gaps between the trousers and jacket when zipped together.
I'm sure other trackday companies insist on the same at least.

I've never seen anyone participating in trackdays wearing textiles.

As Dougies list you should be able to get some decent gear from any of them.

I've personally had excellent service from the sportsbike shop.

    Dave.
