Recommend...C6 Kyrano Hood Jeans...

Received a pair of C6 Kyrano jeans this evening from Hood and I am so impressed with them I thought I would share them on here, I know they are only jeans but I'm easily pleased

This is my first pair of bike jeans and I am sure there are other options out there that offer more protection but as with all things, it comes at a hefty price.

Mine are end of line so at £117 with D30 armour I couldnt complain and, as many of you know, they offer a free tailoring to fit (I'm an irregular fit)

Very happy with the armour and confident in the protection it will provide as well as the inner lining for anti-abrasion.

Anyone new to biking who is looking for a good pair of jeans at a reasonable price, I would recommend Hood

Hood have a good reputation for well made bike jeans. I have a pair of Draggin' jeans which are very well made with a lot of kevlar but with no pockets for armour. I also have a pair of Oxford jeans which are thinner, have less Kevlar but came with knee armour and pockets for hip armour.

I am a big fan of the hip armour you have there having survived a 70mph "off" on the Bonnie last year with only bruises to show for it (quite big ones). The bike went down left side and the first point of contact with the road was my hip, so without the armour I think it would have been broken bones for sure.

I was recommended Draggin jeans but were just outside of my price range. These hood jeans are comfy as I'm in work in them as I type the only downside is they do sit high above the waist line which isnt a problem for me but could be for some...

I'm glad you came away with only bruises and reading your last sentence only fills me with more confidence in what I have bought I just hope I never have to test them
