Hi guys. Wonder if anyone can point in the right direction.
Changed out the rest brake pads today and when torquing the carrier bolts back up, one of the threads stripped.
Does anyone know of a helicoil repair being a good fix, or does anyone know where I can purchase a new rear brake carrier?
Are the carriers the same across the years?

    TIA ...

A helicoil insert done correctly can be as strong as the previous thread, depending on how much metal there is around it.

Might be an idea to question the calibration of your torque wrench?
