Covered about a mile on a unmade track yesterday - very muddy and wet. (but good fun)
Noticed that a lot of muck and crud got thrown up from the belly pan right to the top of the radiator, layered on quite thick and including a couple of small stones embedded in the muck.

Not wanting to damage the rad, so thinking of either a rad-guard or front guard extender.

Any body gone for either of these and what do you think?

Hi Steve, I had the same issue with the KTM. If I'd have been keeping it my plan was to have a fender extenda and an easily removable radiator screen/protector - one that just clips in place and removes easily for washing, so all the small muck is trapped in it. The plastic KTM one costs about 11€ from memory. Maybe if Triumph don't do one for the XCX (I know yours is an XRX, but the XCX is supposed to be of-road orientated) you could rig up something with this:

It's an official KTM part so it'll be available in UK.

    Here are some fender extenda's:

Thanks Dave, there are various non-Triumph radiator screens around but not as cheap as that one. Best I've found is £44.99 but it is aluminium and looks very good quality. Might just try the extenda first as it may keep enough of the crap off the radiator and £19.99 seems a better option price wise!
