I rode 2 speed triples back to back, one with PVM's. You can feel the difference lighter wheels make!

    Hi there!
I'm not sure what you are trying because as it's been a standard fit on some models (rs) for a while?
    Fully prepared to be wrong!
    Is it magnesium ones?

They were only standard fit on the 2012-2014 models. Not an option before or after that.

They were standard on The R models only between 2012-2013.

    Thanks Gents.
None of these are however the RS.

There are a number of differences for the front wheel which, once I have worked out the way around it, I will share with the group.

    : unamused:

The RS front wheel has almost everything in common with a standard 2012 model wheel. Spindle, spacers, circlip, bearings ect, are all the same.
    Thant being said.
The only common part to the R spec PVM wheel setup, is the spindle, you will need everything else.

The spacers are the same ID and length, only the OD is different, so I have bought some seals to suit. (£2.99 each vs £14 each from triumph)
I did the same with the bearings, I have bought Koyo items based on the right size. (£3.99 each rather than £25 each from triumph)

The ABS ring is also different too, thats a mine field but im pretty sure I have resolved that. Just waiting on my new disks to arrive for a final test fit to confirm that one.

My spacers and circlip came with the wheel (so did bearings and seals but I always fit new on second hand parts)

I have also removed the stripe and ceramic coated the paint too.

Both wheels, with brand new bearings/seals, new front brembo disks & full titanium hardware plus the rear wheel refurb (which isnt done yet)
    Just under £1000.

Isnt' the front brake discs different on the new RS compared to all the older ones?
I remember the RS being the first Speed Triple with actual Brembo discs other than the crappy warped Sunstars

The standard RS discs are still sunstars.... I now have brembo series oro. They are the ones to suit the 2012 R and fit the PVM's. The only difference is the offset, everything else is the same.

Interesting, the old PVMs seem to have the same discdesign as the RS. While the old R or S or regular 1050 without PVM has a different design on the front wheel (the bolts are located differently).

U sure the Speed Triple isn't brembo discs? I know the Street Triple RS has them as standard.
No sign of a Brembo Logo such as this (street triple RS)?

I am 100% sure, literally have SUNSTAR written on them in 5mm taller letters, there is zero chance they are brembo from factory.

The speed also uses M4's where the street uses 50's, different caliper so might explain the disk supplier swap too.

Thanks for clearing that out, I think many (or maybe its just me) assume they have Brembo discs.
