Just had my t100 serviced and the mechanic said my rear tyre pressure was to high at 41. He told me 31 in the front & 33 in the rear. Handbook says 33 front 41 rear . Does anyone know the answer ?.

Stick with what's in the book and you won't go wrong. The mechanic doesn't know his job - all the bikes I've had in the last 15yrs have required at least 38psi so where he got 33 from heaven only knows ?

Cheers mate. I didn't think the book was wrong but he just put that little bit of doubt in my mind
Thanks mate will have a look tomorrow. The triumph handbook and I have just looked in the Haynes manual both say 41 in the rear. Must be correct.

After a conversation with a tyre tech 30 years ago I've run every bike I've owned since on 36 front, 42 rear. I can't say I've had any issues with handling or tyre wear in well over 150,000 miles on cruisers, adventure, roadsters or sports bikes.

I seem to remember something on Triumphrat where it turned out The American manuals used lower pressures than ours or something like that.
