Morning troops, was talking to the Head Technician of a Triumph dealer yesterday. I was asking about checking/tuning my PC (Power Com) as I'm getting 45-50 mpg rural at legal speeds and thought these PC's were a help? Just got my 2009 SE and wanted it checked and running properly. His comment was forget PC, take it off, doesn't help at all!!!

Anybody any experience please/ comment? I'm going to run bike through so he can can see bike itself Tues/wed. I'd be reluctant to reinstate original air system as the new air induction system really does stop that pipe blueing

I am right am I Bonnies should get more mpg?? oh for my old 60/70 models where an afternoon with jets would sort it.

Spoke with a local guy who is top notch with Power Commanders and knows the Triumph guy well. He felt PC smoothed any surges through the power range etc and would leave it on. Regards mpg he felt max on Bonnie was 54 mpg with PC as he did one not long since. I mentioned black marks on garage doors with choke on made me think efficiency might need looking at but his comment was PC doesn't kick in til engine is warm. However a check would be £25. A full change/adjust/remap etc etc would be £145 (it takes over 3hrs) Just thought some of you may like to know. He's spannering over at TT fer next 2 weeks, so will wait while he's back and take it from there.
