    Great day and what weather!
Underlined the need for Mesh gear, we were simultaneously cooking from in and out after midday.
Had the Kriega 30L and 20L bags on for the first time, stuffed with sleeping bags and other odds and ends to give them ( and me ) a proper trial run prior to Spain next month, perfect as well, a bit of movement when manhandled but totally secure and going nowhere.
I have vowed that we are never to wear our old heavyweight gear again, you can't do anything in it once at your destination apart from participate in an all day sauna with chaffing thrown in for free.
New mesh gear now top priority, we are both in agreement on this, for once!
Don't worry Mick, we left the place exactly as we found it, would have loved a drink in Spooners but not possible on a day trip, obviously.
We really like the idea of renting a flat in the harbour / railway station area for a few days, something for the future.

    Hi Curly,
We have been having a week at the Haven site for the last few years in Sept. Really quite with all the kids back at school and cheap. Literally a 60 secs walk over the dunes onto Black Rock beach, walk on to Criccieth etc.
Great biking roads down North Wales but too many cameras.
I bought a lightweight perforated leather and fabric Alpinestars summer jacket and it is brilliant, you can feel the air gently cooling you when you're on the move.
Shoulder, back and elbow removeable inserts, so you have the safety and comfort.
Hood Kevlar jeans, summer Belstaff short boots and Dainesse Blackjack summer gloves.
Out all day yesterday round North Yorks, real comfy.

Thanks for the kit recommendation Mick, I'm onto it.
We have been visiting that area for years, speed cameras and other changes over that time but still an old favourite.
