Parking in London (big towns) how do you do it?

Hi Chaps and Chappets,

As the title suggests how/where do you park when venturing in to London or other big cities? chain to a lamp post and hope for the best?!

I have an exam tomorrow near White Hart Lane, I have searched and there is no motorcycle specific parking anywhere near. luckily though the venue has parking.

Thoughts and experiences much appreciated!

I try to avoid taking my bike into London unless I can get off street parking. If you are in later than 8:30 and can find a space in a bike park you need a shoe horn to get it in, no-one seems to worry about others paint work as most using them are scooter/moped, maybe different if I had a centre stand but a side stand is a real no no. some NCP's do spaces for bikes not sure if it is free or not.
