I have a Bonneville Newchurch, got it earlier this year and noticed that the tank marks after been out on it for a bit, normally washes away fine, but I would rather not risk damaging the paint work, so to protect it I have a couple of options:-
    1. get those rubber knee pads, but not so sure as the tank has clean lines, it might better without these.
    2. Purchase the Triumph paint protection kit, I believe these are clear and fairly invisible.
    3. Purchase aftermarket kits such as http://chipguard.co.uk/motorcycle-protection/triumph/triumph-bonneville-2015-diy-tank-kit.html

Anybody used any of these or suggestions, Thanks Sandy

I would just wax the tank and live with it, even if you fit pads the road dirt and bugs will still get on the rubber :)

Hi Sandy, when i bought my speed triple it had the Triumph paint protection kit on it,i ended up removing it as the outline of it made it look like a scratches on the tank, i would just keep it well polished :)

I use autoglym polish and then top it off with autoglym wax, looks lovely, but as darkman said, live with it I have the pads on my tank as standard and they are a bit of a pain to keep clean too. I use autoglym bumper care (I sound like an autoglym rep) brings them up but it does fade away after a couple of weeks, see pic

Thanks guys, much appreciated. I have given the tank a good polish earlier today and the money I saved from not buying paint protection etc. I bought a Puig Screen, so happy days
