    Hi All,

I have just bought myself a 1998 Tiger having not been on bikes for about three years. The bike I had before was a 600 Transalp and this thing feels like a cross between a tank and an ocean liner in comparison. Very interesting to note how different a triple feels to a V twin. I have to say I'm mildly terrified by it. I'm getting the seat recovered by saddle craft as its not very comfortable....oh yeah, and my feet only just touch the ground.
I wanted to ask if anyone knows what Haynes manual to buy. They don't seem to exist for the 1998 version but I suspect it's another model of the Triple but in different form (Trident?). Also, where can I get crash bars or bungs. No-one seems to have them.

    Cheers!

    Welcome to the Forum bud.:upyeah:
Got any photos of it to share?

I've only just joined. All the tigers are big tough old war horses. I had a 99 update model. Really tall but great fun in a bouncy way. Plenty fast enough though.
I had a new 600 Tranny years ago. Very boring. Did the job, just no sparks so sold it within 8 months.

Sorry can't help with the manual or bungs but I expect someone will....eventually.

Hi Alex and welcome to the forum.

With regards to the Workshop manual you need this one

Also with regards to parts give Ivan a call at National Triumph a call as he has most Triumph parts second hand which is always a good way to save a few quid and I'm guessing new stuff would look a bit out of place on your bike.

Post some photos of the bike when you get a chance

    Cheers
