I thought I’d better join this forum as I’ve just pulled the trigger on a new Street Twin. The £900 Triumph contribution for accessories was just too good to miss, even though I think the centre stand should really be a standard fitment. This is my “retirement” treat although I will continue working to pay for it! Had bikes all my life, used to be a motorcycle instructor back in the RAC/ACU days, that led me on to become a Driving Instructor. My motorcycling is coming full circle apart from a Garelli 50 I owned lots (and I mean lots) of Tiger Cubs – used to pay as much as £10 for a good one. They were great fun and being in engineering there were many tuning mods tried. If I blew an engine just put another in or strip and rebuild. Aah happy days… I’m hoping the light clutch is kind to my left hand which is a bit weak after an incident with a bread knife, a crusty roll resulting in an almost totally severed tendon and 6 months in a cast. Fingers still not straight. I took a Street Twin out a few weeks ago for an extended test ride and it didn’t seem too bad… time will tell. Jolly Bodger
Welcome too the Asylum you should fit right in. Too keep the inmates happy we will need photos. Tucker
After that intro " brings new meaning to "Crusty Old Fart". ? Working your hand using it for the clutch might build it up and sort it out !! I hope so, as it will make it a pleasure when you ride to " have no discomfort " so you can just enjoy your time out on the road ' riding ' carefree , just you the bike , road and breeze in your face ??!!
Welcome from sunny California. I also have a Street Twin and the clutch is indeed very comfortable. Enjoy your new bike !!
