    Hi
I'm planning an oil change on my Tiger Trail (1982) and have a couple of (hopefully simple) questions I'm hoping someone can answer for me. Firstly this is my first oil change for this bike. I've already drained all the oil from the sump, primary chaincase and OIF reservoir and cleaned everything up and so ready to replace now.

Q1 - I noticed my sump plug didn't have a copper washer - should it have one? When I google the washer part most seem to be available in the US with very few UK suppliers (Tricor Andy I think!) so wasn't sure if this was only for exported models? Only a few quid and happy to get one - it never leaked previously though.
Q2 - I've watched a few you tube videos on priming the oil pump with 1/4 pint of oil through a plug at the rear centre of the cylinders - I don't have a plug here.... would it be somewhere else on the 750 Tiger Trails? I believe it can also be done by removing the tappet cover - is this my only option for my bike?
Q3 - I also need to add oil into the primary chaincase (as I needed to replace the gasket) - is this also 1/4 pint through the filler on the top or should I use the oil level plug as the guide and just add as much oil as it needs?
Q4 - I've cleaned the wire gauze filter at the bottom of the OIF tube and it seems in good shape - am I better off fitting an aftermarket paper oil filter (which I assume is a direct replacement for the gauze). Being a traditionalist I'd like to keep the original configuration ideally.
Q5 - I was planning on getting Morris Golden film oil - Is this a good choice? I assume I use the same oil for primary, crankcase and OIF locations?

    Thanks for reading

    Hello, I'll try and help
Q1, I'm sure it should have a washer here, should be easy to get at most brit bike specialist . Britbits Christchurch are very helpful.
Q2, just fill the oil tank, that will be fine.
Q3, put the 1/4 pint in the primary case and it will find it's own level after a few miles, just check the oil tank after a short run.
Q4, I would stay with the standard set-up, it,s been good for the first 35 years.
Q5, yes morris golden film 20/50 will be good
