i know I've been a bit lax on posting lately!

Small update! I got the GPX600R running and even got an MOT on it on Monday! So was chuffed with that. Then yesterday swmbo passed her mod 2 and is now a fully fledged biker! So not a bad week, until today! We went out for her first proper ride out (my mother is staying here recouperating so we managed to escape!). We got half way round and she was in tears :(. Turns out the GPX600R is too heavy for her and was causing her considerable pain :(. Being a gent I swapped with her and squeezed my 6'4" 18st frame onto the blummin thing!

She was happy as she found my Aprilia very easy to ride which was good. But then she dropped it putting it on the drive! So now I have to find her a new bike tomorrow as her rights for riding my bike have been withdrawn! I was very reassuring about her dropping it whilst in my mind I was planning on how to smother her in her sleep!! Lol

Now my question, are the street fours any good?

Street triple? Great wee bike. My pal is a wee short lassie, on her second street triple and she manages easily handling hers. Been lowered, easy done if necessary. Great bikes, handling is fantastic, shame so small or I would be tempted.

+1 on the Sv 650, great bikes, later pointy injection bikes are great value for money and easy get a nice one for that money.

If you want a fully faired one, buy fully faired. Fairing kits are difficult to get hold of, get panels, but fitting kit is rocking horse shit.

Budget suspenion, but OK for starters. Go and stop brilliantly. Motor is an absolute peach. Riding position is different on the various versions, naked, half faired and sport, so suggest a sit and check it fits first.
