Hi all have any of you changed the supplied petrol cap for a Monza style or a pattern lockable cap. Your comments and observations would be welcomed. I am asking because my OEM is absolute carp now. I will post a pic, but it looks like it has been polished with a scouring pad, lol many thanks

Just changed to a TEC Monza cap. This is a monza top screwed onto an adaptor which screws into the tank hole. It's cast polished aluminium (doesn't appear to be lacquered). Alignment to get the top to line up straight down the tank was an issue but TEC immediately sent a new adaptor ring and that one was fine. The adaptor tightens by squashing a big 'O' ring. Very well made an operates well. The only observation is that the polished aluminium top will need to be polished frequently and it will never be or stay as polished as a chromed version if one exists.

Triumph chrome locking cap was on the Bonnie when I bought it.
Brilliant cap, great chrome finish, easy to operate and a good lock.
    Highly recommended
