Whilst playing with my tacho, I manged to light up the engine management light on the America. Luckily I bought one of these a few months ago, a Autel AL419 for use at work.

Just plugged it into the OBDII plug under the seat, ignition on and fault given, not even a code to look up. Straight away Coil B, or some such thing was given as the fault (bike started with wire disconnected, by accident), select delete error, switch off, remove reader, bike on, start and light is now out. Dead easy.

No training or reading the manual, just follow on screen and it's done. Worth having in the toolbox.

Best thing is you can get them cheaper than Sealey sell them - Ebay Link

Nice linky MrO. I know you are on an America, but do you know if this would function on a speed 94r?

I'm a bit non-techy so OBD11 is unknown to me.

    Cheers

Yes it will fit all triumphs, after 2001 on cars, not sure on bikes, but pretty sure your speedie will be OBDII (On Board Diagnostics 2), lift your seat, probably there
    [IMG] looks like this.

Lead is included in the kit.

And they'll work on most cars to. Just bought one to turn off the light on my mondeo... cost me £15 for mine!
