I know it's not a Triumph but lockdown does some funny things to your brain....anyhow just wanted a sort of show of hands as the motor is cleaned and degreased.... Silver or black engine?
I also agree that a black engine on this bike would work better than a silver one. More continuity plus I think, as others have said, that black and gold look really good together. Please post pics when you have that engine in place!
Thank you all for your replies and input. That, I think, has made the decision easier, especially as I have more black paint available! More pics will be posted. I'm hoping to get it sorted for the Classic Bike Show at Stafford in July. I hope to be on "The Thumperclub" stand upstairs in the main hall.
Jap import then. That colour scheme is going to look tasty. I probably would have used the same gold through both the tank and frame. When will it be ready?
Same gold wasn't possible as one is powder coated and other was sprayed. I'm looking to get it finished in next month, but you just never know in these uncertain times.
Engine in this morning. Satin black engine block and inner cases. Jury out on the outer cases as yet. Probably polish them.
