Hey, gang! It was a beautiful day in Arizona and Mr. Sandi, bless his heart, pulled all of my motorcycles out of the garage, aired up the tires, started them up. Before he pulled my Speed Triple back into the garage I was able to throw a leg over my beloved Triumph and START IT UP! Oh my, oh my, oh my. I nearly cried I was so happy just to be sitting on my bike again and hear and feel it through my whole being. As you can see, I wasn't in my riding gear, just a tee-shirt, cap, tights, and sneakers. I don't think I'll be in riding gear any time soon. That elbow with the tat doesn't bend beyond 90º...yet.

Not a "real ride" on my Triumph--but I'll take it! :grinning::heart_eyes::heart:

P.S. That tat on my left forearm reads, "Faith, Hope, & Love". How appropriate is that in these dark days?? And I'm seeing it a whole lot more than I did prior to breaking my elbow. No coincidence, I'm sure. ;)

You are looking well and happy sitting on there. Don't worry to much like everyone says get fully fit and it will come. Just think you get this nasty virus and that out of the way and are fit again then you can get out there and really enjoy your travels. I know people keep saying it and it seems so far off but it will come. Take every day slowly and just be patient. Soon you will laugh about this unfortunate spell.
    Regards & Hugs
    Joe.

Thanks, Joe! I was super happy sitting there on my speed triple yesterday! Yes, you are right. Take things slowly and be patient. One day at a time. We’ve said those things most of our lives and now we’re really learning how to live them. I appreciate your support, encouragement, and kind words very, very much. ♥️ I know that when all of this is over, most everyone will appreciate many things in life as we never have before.

Looking good there! Just think, it's not really that long since you wouldn't have been able to walk to the bikes, let alone get and sit on one.

Full marks you! But dinnae over do it. Mend well!

So happy to see you on your favourite bike , just think the rest of the world has stopped riding in support while you heal. More of the guys can now understand your pain.
Best wishes on your op and full recovery

Big hug on its way Big Sandy and Dart Player got it in one there. You take one step at a time and be patient and we are all supporting you. After all we need another good story to read.

OK, I have no photos to corroborate this so you can believe it or not. Several days ago Mr. Sandi offered to "exercise" my Speed Triple by taking it out on an essential errand. So I got on it in the garage, stood it up, pulled in the clutch and fired it up, and backed it out of the garage into the driveway! As I said in the title of this thread, "not a real ride on my Triumph but I'll take it!" Thank goodness for incremental progress. And HOPE!!! :)

I believe you as I know you are so so honest. And the fact you are getting back to full fitness is great even if its with nowhere to go till this nasty virus is gone. But just think it at least took a little of your mind. And you still have the mustang to muse yourself with. Great to see you out there and even smiling. That's got to be good.
    Take Care And God Bless.
