Finally got a bit of time and good weather to take a quick look at the Cleveland Way across the north York moors. Quite fancy doing the whole moorland stretch 50miles/80km. Not today though :D
Plenty of good views and stiff climbs. Had to do one climb twice as some idiot left the dog's lead at a viewpoint. Very popular for paragliders.

The little pimple on the horizon here is the wonderfully named Roseberry Topping. Sounds like a 1970s dessert...

For those who, like me, take an interest in Victorian engineering, that cliff tram is water powered. Rather clever. More here....https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saltburn_Cliff_Lift

The Cleveland Way turns right at Saltburn, leaves the moorland and goes along the cliffs here right down to Filey Brigg.

I walked the Cleveland Way in the hot summer of 1976. We had to send one of our mates home on the train as he was very badly sunburnt.

Strewth, yes. I was running up astronomical miles on my 400/4 that summer. Well done you, anyhow. I might be a bit old for the whole thing-half of it would be quite an undertaking. Still, never say never! :)
