This sounds mad but I have to wait ages for parts from Triumph in Ireland and World of Triumph would only Courier parts over which is expensive. i phoned Lings Norfolk and The Parts Guy Ben Dixon was So helpful and Played a blinder to get the part over to me quickly. i have just ordered Another part from him as the Clutch push rod seal has decided its had enough so i have to replace it. Fair play Lings. great Service.
They are my local dealer and all warranty claims have been sorted quickly by Ben, all the staff are helpful. World of Triumph is Lings, remember going around their Honda spares in my Honda Owners Club days.
I phoned world of Triumph and they told me they only courier? Yet Ben posted the part. If they are the same shop then talk to Ben
The World of Triumph is the central distribution, I think you will find that is in Harleston which is also the Honda centre. Lowestoft is the flagship dealership with Triumph, Honda bikes and cars and Huskvarna dirt bikes. They have just revamped Watton so they maybe carrying more spares.
Have bought from Lings Honda and Lings Triumph in Ipswich in the past and been happy. Got the latest Triumph from Watton and have to agree, they seem to have a good team there.
Is It? that's news to me, they are just a dealer with a good web site. They charge a premium of + 5% on parts. They have done a very good job of capturing a market. I always have and always will use Jack Lilley who have a dedicated mail order dept and ship all over the world. I live 3 miles from fowlers but still use JL their shipping costs are always minimal and if you say you are in TOMCC or HTOC you get 10% discount.
Got to say Triumph at watton have a great team . Service is good got my Triumph Thunderbird Lt 1700 from them early this year. Tucker
Unfortunately I had the opposite experience with WOT refused to take the order over the phone, insisted I used the web site to order, and had to deal with UPS and NO tracking and took 7 days for delivery ( @ £12.50 ) wrong parts picked and sent. Wrong parts sorted and correct part arrived in 2 days ..... go figure. New seal driver from triumph damaged on arrival and No Remedy ..... no return contact, when I rang .... not interested ............ Will be spending my hard earned elsewhere in future !!!
Don't Triumph Dublin do mail order parts, Nigel? Or perhaps Phillip McCallen in Lisburn? Or should I stop thinking out loud 'cos you've already tried 'em? Does seem strange if they don't though.
I'm sure if Dublin Triumph were any use @Havit would get his parts there, he's much closer to them than I am
