Hello. I’m Dave, from Surrey, England. Long time biker (30 plus years of a full licence, and never been without a bike or two. I’m about to take on a project Triumph TR6; A 1970 TR6P to be exact. It was chopped a long time ago, not to a good standard, and has a later front end (disk brake, I think from a T150), and a bolt on hard tail. It was bought like this quite a few years ago by a friend to be a project, but he never got round to doing anything to it. It did start years ago as I remember him starting it not long after he got it. The plan; source a rear subframe, swing arm, seat, rear mudguard etc. Rebuild engine as standard, with updated oil pump, and maybe the gearbox plunger mod. Leave the disk brake front end on it, as its going to be too much to source a wheel, brake, yolks etc. I will be asking all sorts of questions as this will be my first TR6 rebuild, although I have rebuilt bikes before. Wish me luck. Dave
