Nice welcome thank you, It is Mr Strophe for what it matters.
Garage is definitely full, I have somewhat become a collector not by design it just like age has crept up on me.
The CBR for example was a buy following a trip to a local dealer with my lady friend who wanted to spend some time on the back of my bike but reluctant on getting involved with the Buell. She liked the CBR, but initially I had no plans to buy three days later she (CBR - not the good lady) was in the garage. The CBR fairings are shot and difficult to get decent replacements for an 89, but mechanically she is sound and does not feel or sound like a 26 year old bike.

I have been out on the Trophy today getting used to her, if I am out at the weekend I generally don't ride specific routes but quite often end up in Windsor for a brew.

This seems a friendly place and I think I may stay if allowed :)

Noted your bike in an earlier post when reviewing the forum, I also have the Azure Blue version really cool colour in my humble opinion.

The CBR is a fantastic bike as mentioned a bit of an impulse buy, but I have never regretted a second that impulse...

Hi and welcome to the forum.
Sounds like rather an varied collection you have got there, Do also have a soft spot for the GL 1000's although from memory didn't the 78 have the higher bars on them?

    Cheers

    Steve

Hi Steve, you are correct the 78 has the higher bars and can be quite tiring when travelling any kind of distance. At the moment she has the engine out and a couple of minor jobs have become projects. Had hoped to finish over the Winter but as it has been fairly mild I kept the CBR running throughout, and I tend to choose to ride rather than spanner. I will finish the jobs before the summer is complete....
