Afternoon all, Due to advancing years and a new hip I've downsized, so I'm now tootling about on a Tiger 800 and an America. Now that I'm richer in time, if not cash, I can afford to be in the saddle a bit more, and I'm really enjoying it - when it's not chucking it down that is. I've also rediscovered great places to stop off at such as The Yonderman and the Raven cafe, but I'm always up for more recommendations! Be safe folks and have fun Oldfart
OldFart Welcome to the family. Great machines. Do hit the upload a file button bottom right of the topic and let the inmates ogle you steeds. Nursey will love it as she get a quite night dishing out the meds. Regards & Ride Safe. Joe.
Hello Oldfart and welcome to the forum I often frequent the Raven and Yondermann for breakfast. Enjoy Yondermann more better quality breakfast and it’s a nice ride to get there
Many thanks guys for all the warm welcomes, they're much appreciated. In response to this post - the Tiger is near the Cat & Fiddle and the America is at Wetton Mill. Cheers all Oldfart
Not a problem, sort of thing I do all the time, at least I can blame advanced years Talking of the Cat & Fiddle - Forest Gin, based in Macc, are crowd funding the place in order to re-open it as a bikers/walkers bar/cafe and may be even create a whisky distillery. Oldfart
You used to be able to use the lay-by at the Macc end and the C&F pub carpark to rest awhile and bring your average speed down. (Unless they've put more cameras in).
