Hey All Having spent about 25years on 4 wheels finally got around last year to taking the plunge, getting the licence and buying a bike again. So, picked up a 93 Sprint 900 (now looking to sell, watch the classifieds as it will be posted there shortly) as a 'dip a toe in the water' and now have a Tiger 1050 - loving every second of it Im in SE Cornwall, Dartmoor is on the doorstep and so im out there making the most of it whenever the weather (& SWMBO) allows...
If you do not already you will love the engine. The exhaust tone The flat torque curve The right amount of vibration. My favourite Triumph colour. A great choice Do take it easy and build up your pace slowly Here is where I usually recommend to long layoff riders to consider getting some training like a Bikesafe course if your local Police run them or the IAM's associate member programme, in the meantime buy, read and practice the Police system using their handbook Motorcycle Roadcraft Be safe out there
Gidday and welcome to the forum. Tiger looks really nice but those wheels aren't stock are they? Bit top heavy but a great bike to ride. Bit hard to see but has the Tiger got an after market exhaust on it? Cheers Steve
Thanks for all the replies and welcomes. Wheels arent stock colour, previous owner had them done, exhaust is stock. Comments regarding additional training & building the pace duly noted and is something I've considered already - fortunately I dont either 'feel the need for speed' or want to push it to the limits, more than happy being able to take in the scenery.
Nice bike - welcome to the forum. Had the Bonnie for 3 months now and already thinking about getting a Tiger in the future (keeping the Bonnie of course) for longer touring trips. Cheers Steve
