Hello to all, at the edge of retirement and considering taking up bikes again. My son has just bought a TT600 and it would be nice to have rides out with him in the summer. I have been around bikes most of my life strangely all Triumphs, the last one being the 1200 Daytona SE. I suppose like a lot of people it spent too much time parked up and with growing kids etc never enough time to use it. I did like the bike, steady as a rock but top heavy especially when full of fuel, and a pig to push about which for me was its downfall. Anyway 25yrs on I might be about to re-ignite my bike side. I'm totally out of touch with what's out there but thinking something not too heavy, easy on the backside and not a sports job. It will for odd runs out and about etc. So maybe the Bonneville? I assume that these days oil leaks, and unreliability are a thing of the past, having spent many an hour re-building engines and such which I have no desire to return to..
