After 14 years of various Japanese bikes, I've finally gone a bought British. Cracking little Speed Triple. I like it. Based down on the South Coast just outside Chichester. Anyone from around this area?
Welcome and well done on a good choice of bike.I'm sure you'll enjoy it,any mods planed? Not from your area but do head South when time allows.
Hi Nick and welcome to the forum. Just up the way a bit from you near Aldershot way and do like to head to Loomies Cafe and also the spot near you at Arundel (Strawberry Hill) every Doh I mean Bury Hill!! now and again. Don't know who you use to work on you bike, but you have Clive Woods down in Bognor who is the ex race mechanic for Jack Lilley Triumph who knows more about these bikes than most. Cheers Steve
Hello and welcome. Not long converted from jap to triumph myself and loving it. In Fareham so not too far from you, do you ever get over to Loomies? Not made bury hill yet this year but should do soon.
Hi all. Yes I know of Clive, my mate uses him and speaks very highly. Often go up tp Bury Hill and occasionally Portsdown Hill and Loomies. But spend more time riding than chatting to be honest! Loving the Speed so far, usually modify my bikes a little - however loved the standard exhaust sound and look and don't want for more power either. Fuelling seems spot on. Will fit all my touring necessities such as Sat Nav, luggage rack, heated clothing, etc. when the time comes. Otherwise I'm happy as she is. Even the number plate hanger looks ok IMO !
Clive has got to be the best Triumph mechanic I have come across, I spent a day with him showing myself and the Mk 1 Speed Triple guys how to work on the T3 Hinckley bikes. These are some of the bikes that he was involved with
Hi Nick If your fitting luggage I can highly recommend the Bags Connection SW Motec Blaze pannier system, works great and easily removes to leave the bike looking stock. There is a thread on this forum if interested.
Blimey those panniers look wide? Are you able to filter with those on or do you have one of those convoi exceptionnel vehicles out front? Sorry, had an unfortunate experience on the M25 with panniers ,:frown: so tend to avoid them if possible!! Anyone tried the Renntec Rack that's available?
