Just a quick introduction. Just purchased a 2023 900 GT Pro. This was after renting a 2023 1200 GT Pro in Oregon last month. I liked the 1200 but did not need the power nor the seat height here in north central Vermont. I'm coming off a 2014 Suzuki V-Strom DL1000 Adventure. Enjoyed the DL, but the miles were getting up there and it was time for the new moto technology. The 900 GT Pro seems to be the perfect bike for me. Things I really like: -Plenty of power for a 888cc bike. Bike pulls in every gear. -Not too tall and not too heavy (100 lbs lighter than the 1200 GT Pro) -Local Triumph dealer -All the latest electronic safety and convenience features -Handles everything from tight and twisties to gravel roads with ease. Items I need to fiddle with or upgrade: -Still working on perfecting my use of the shift assist. Not sure I will use it in all situations. -Wind screen does not seem to fully protect the body. Lots of air flowing around my chest area at speed. -Bluetooth connectivity is a joke. Tried multiple times, but could not get it to work. Will check with dealer at first service, but from what I have read others are having similar problems. Currently use Rever for creating routes and tracking rides. Have a Quad lock for phone mount and use Waze for turn-by-turn or just to see the map. I'm not sure I'll use the bike's Bluetooth even if I do get it working. -Bars a just slightly low for stand up riding (ride a lot of dirt roads here in VT). May consider a riser clamp. Things I really don't like: -Can't select Off-road mode on the fly. I go from pavement, to dirt, and back to pavement all the time. -Can't move from Off-road mode on the fly. If I were to take advantage of the Off-road mode, I'd have to stop constantly. On the up side, even though ABS is not completely turned off in Off-road mode, I can lock up the rear wheel on a steep loose downhill. I'll only use this mode if I plan to be on dirt for an extended period of time. -Warnings and flashing icons when in Off-road mode. All and all, this bike is a keeper. Love the 3 cylinder engine (had an old Hinckley 885cc bike). Ride is smooth, power delivery excellent, and fit and finish seems good. Can't wait to get back on it. Glad to be a member of the forum,
Welcome and I hope you weren’t affected by the recent flooding! VT is a frequent destination for skiing and snowmobiling, I also now have a taste for Von Trapp beer Please share some pics of your ride
