Bought a brand new '19 Speed Triple a few months ago. I'm in love with this thing! I traded a fine MT09 that I had put 12k on and enjoyed it a lot - engine was great, seat sucked, handling ok once I worked it over, but as Neeves says at MCN, bike was ultimately a bit too "motard" for my tastes. The dealer had one ST remaining and he decided to mark it down substantially just before I walked in and bought it. Living in the Ozarks of southern Missouri I have access to some very fine riding and the Speed Triple fits the bill for me perfectly! Mine's a white S model and, other than diddling with the suspension tuning I've done nothing to it.
Thank you! Yes, in the Ozarks Triumphs are as rare as hen's teeth. Harleys are e-v-e-r-y-w-h-e-r-e, a few metric cruisers, tourers, sport touring bikes and sport bikes but HD cruisers rule. This bike sat on the showroom floor for over a year. They sold an RS, a couple of scramblers and T120's, etc. That gorgeous white ST screamed at me everytime I walked through the door. When I walked in again last summer and saw he'd marked it down again I could resist no more & bought it. It's everything my previous MT09 was but much more. Had I had the new MT09 SP I probably would have been satisfied, but now I'm truly pleased to be in the Triumph family. With 4k already on the clock I have to say this is the finest bike I've ever owned.
Fido Really late on this one. But welcome to the family. Do hit the upload a file button and show the inmates the steed. Joe.
Welcome, lovely bike. I have been watching a documentary about your neck of the woods on Netflix, keep your wits about you!
