hi all , my name is Bob , and a bit of a veteran at 74 come february . I have 2 triumphs , my 01 speed triple , and several months back , aquired a 1969 bonnie which originally went to Mexico but returned with its owner a few years ago. I still ride with friends from the early 1960's and we get out sundays and wednesdays ( weather permitting of course ) . We have a number of triumph bikes and riders in our " gang" , also a couple of beema owners , a d collectively , get out as often as possible. My first bike was. 150 bantam , bought off a friend for £18 and still have the receipt from my mates dad , then a sports Arrow , a '58 Huntmaster then a Rickman mettise 500 road racer which I raced for a few years then married so the racer had to go . I know its now in Rhodesia with its original owner whom I bought it off .whilst working for a bike dealer here in my home town (Newport Gwent ) , I was given a job card to sort out a goldie 500 . I bought the bike and used it on 2 Dragon Rallies and eventually sold it to raise the deposit for our first house, many other bikes followed over the years , but thats enough for now
Hi ya Bob: I just turned 74 last month and still ride too. I have 3 Hinkley Triumphs. Do most of.my work/modifications.myself. Life long gearhead. Can't sing, can't dance, don't play any musical instruments. Just been turning wrenches since I was about 12 [Dad had a hot rod in those days]… J.D.
Bob Rout. Welcome to the family. Do hit the upload a file button bottom right corner and show us the steeds especially the 69. Here in the asylum we like pictures as they are easier to read. And nursey gets an easy night. Regards & Ride Safe. Joe.
