Hi all -I'm Malcolm Perry. Born in the UK but have lived in New Zealand since 2003. Been riding bikes since forever but in 2017 purchased my 1st ever British bike - a Tiger 800 XCX low. Absolutely love it - its just right for the crap NZ roads (top of the Norh Island) but quick enough to get about. I have just covered 50,000ks -not bad for Covid years and a couple of extended layoffs getting different parts of the body fixed. I bought the low as I am a short --- and couldn't reach the ground on the standard version. Trouble is everything is low so I found myself scraping pegs which was a bit of a nuisance and affected my riding style/confidence. So, I had a Nitron adjustable shock imported from the UK and fitted by the renowned kiwi suspension genius, KSS who also updated the front fork internals at the same time. I now have the bike I hoped I'd bought back in 2017- its blooming awesome and gives such confidence. I'm writing this with my foot under ice having been bowled over by a local school bus on my way to work a coupe of days ago. I'm on the mend but hear the bus is a write off. Thanks for letting me in. Looking forward to talking.
Howdy from the U.S. of A. You prolly got banged up because ya'll drive on the wrong side of the road down there. Heal fast, ride soon.
Hi Malcolm, welcome to the forum from all Downunder . Hope you're back on two wheels soon, thought you might have trouble with the sheep not buses????. Stay safe. M
