Hi guys, Just joined the site. Been lurking a few weeks now. Last rode on a regular basis in 2004. Got married, had children (who are now pain in the tail teenagers... OK, not really, they are good and I am lucky) and am ready to return to cruising. Have my eyes on a 2018 Speedmaster. Hope to have a follow up post soon enough I gotta say, in addition to what seems to be an awesome Community, the website itself is spectacular. I can't think of another that looks and operates as well. Bravo!!!
Hi Dexter and welcome to the forum from a fellow Bonneville Speedmaster owner. Great bike, light enough to throw around and manoeuvre and 1200 has plenty of go
Dexter Welcome to the family. Hope you are not that Sherriff matey who runs around doing every one in. Just the lurking bit stirs the thoughts. And Awesome community you got to be kidding they are all barkers. That is why this is an asylum and the inmates as loopy as they come. This time of night not to bad as nursey will be around with the sedatives soon. Don't worry she will save you some. But no this Family is the greatest out there and care for each other. And believe me there are some very talented peeps on here. You will love it. They will laugh and sigh with yo but don't ever let your guard down as they just wait for someone to take the mickey out of all in good taste. Yes you will fit right in here. Do let us know about the bike when it comes to fruition. Regards Joe.
Thank you all for the warm welcome. It is nice to feel accepted and not intimidated to know so little about this great brand. As I have had the bug to resume riding these past few months, my search quickly found the Speedmaster. I became certain this is the bike I want to own and ride. I had been working with a local dealer on an unsold 2018, and then found a pre-owned one with only 1000 miles on it. 1 owner, moved to a populated city, and is done riding for now. Service done, Triumph accessories (might strip those off to start, but will be great for trips), and still has some remaining warranty. Might take a few weeks to get it here, but she will soon be cruising the Rockies.
