hi guys, well picked up the bike and did 180 miles straight off on a tank full of fuel so theres a big tick straight away ,had the decat fitted at the dealers before pick as part of the deal and sounds nice and fruity with standard cans on (when got home fitted standard cans on with rear baffle remove with the 50mm hole saw trick found on this site and it sounds even more fruitier and saving lots of pennies )and have to say its awesome its the most sportiest bike i have had a its a corner machine you only have to look at the corner and its there with the min of effort unlike the v strom where you had to work a bit to get that thing to corner ,other thoughts nice gearbox, brakes are in another world and suspension just soaks up the bumps etc i may soften it up a little but will wait till its all bedded it etc and more miles added
bought bike from bevans in wales and they have been a dream to deal with (with a big thanks drew) i requested the tank strap to be removed before pick up they remove the strap but it had left a yellow mark where the rubber strap ,and all credit to drew just ordered a new tank hes a biker and smart enough to no what people want so a big thumbs up for them and would recommend them highly (shame local dealer was a little poor and could not even match the bevan deal and i gave then a 2nd chance )
anyway few question you may be able to help with
has anybody got thoughts on front wheel chocks for putting the bike into instead of using a paddock stand just want something but bike into so its upright to begin with and can tinker etc without being on the side stand ,so i can then use paddock stand when needed for chain lube etc
best tail tidy genuine truimp ,rng ,
anybody using the sw motch blaze panniers
    thoughts please

I can't say my suspension soaks up the bumps, I wish I could make it a bit softer altho i'm used to it now after16 months . I've got a similar wheel chock to above .

    I know it's a Thruxton, but don't you fancy fitting a centre stand ?

Set all mine to mid ships, take front fork tension & compression adjusters back to the clockwise stop then count how many turns to anti clockwise stop, then wind back in 50%. Rears, should have 2 rings showing above spring, wind black adjuster to softest, count how many clicks to hardest, then back off 50%. Works for me. 13 1/2 stone. I'm sure an expert would set up differently. If you are happy, leave well alone, if not, then make Minot adjustments before each ride & compare. Enjoy
