I just received my new motobatt battery today n have left it on charge. It's now reading as 14.4....so all good. I shall mount the new one in tonight. I just hope the battery holding strap fits the new battery.

The battery that came with the bike is on its brink. Last Friday I left the ignition on for about 5 mins n it was dead. My work colleague went home brought me the jump leads and she fired up. It was a drama that Friday evening. To top it up I had trouble darkman with millions of questions for which he patiently answered. Thanks buddy. Since then she fires up but with a little struggle. With winter around the corner, I decided to invest in a new one :)

I had a nightmare yesterday and I think I made an expensive mistake. The battery fitted in good and when I tried to put the retaining clip back on and I had to apply a bit of force and the clip on airbox snaps  hitting the bridge of my nose and nicked the skin and a little bleed on the skin of nose. Trust me it wasn't a good feeling. So I need to find an airbox top cover. I spoke to Triumph and they want £70 + delivery . How stupid I am. I can't stop kicking myself. And I am looking to get some Velcro straps to hold the battery in. I am not playing with that stupid rubber retaining clip again

Lol, hope you are alright now. I would just clean up the old cover and make a new way to fasten it.

Yeah I am ok. Thanks buddy :)

I found an aribox for £30. All I need is the Airfilter housing unit. Luckily it only snapped the clip not the actual airbox :). atleast something positive.

Talk about luck. I just found an airbox for mine 10 mins from my place for £30. I am picking it up tonight. I am just going to swap the airfilter housing unit and leave the rest as it is. I also have a new Triumph OEM Air Filter, I might aswell change that while I am at it :). I should receive the adjustable heavy duty Velcro straps tomorrow. So all good. Lesson learned.....broken Air Box, Painful Nose....work patiently and don't rush or force things ;)
