    Hi Guys.

So I ordered some after market flush mount indicators for my Daytona 955i, they arrived, but needed resisters so I ordered them too, tried to fit them today, but a relay has gone crazy at me!!!!

As soon as I switched the key on to test the indicator the relay started buzzing! took me a while to actually find it, but obviously there is no power without the 12v relay? I find it hard to believe connecting the indicator fried the relay? maybe the resister is the problem (the indicator worked before but flashed very fast, hence the need for the resister)

I have a ride out tomorrow afternoon and need some advise please

    UPDATE

Well it turned out that the buzzing relay was the indicator relay, and the reason I had no power if I removed it was the the 30amp fuse had almost melted into the fuse box! (replaced fuse without relay and starts ok, but no indicators now) So my assumption is that the resister was fuxxed and in turn fuxxed my indicator relay, and melted my 30amp fuse?

I cant use the "Buzzing" relay and need to get another now, and quick, but would it be better to get an LED indicator relay? instead of EVER using those cheap inline resisters from China?

    Thanks in advance guys

Not sure as electrics is not my strongest suite with bikes, have you got a bike shop locally that sells R&G stuff as I know they do LED kits with resistors apart from that I take it it's too late to put the old ones back on in the mean time?

    Hi Steve

I had only removed the front Right indicator, so I put the original back on for now, but no indicators right now, with a bit of fiddling about yesterday I decided on getting a new relay CF13 GL-02 off eBay as this was the One most people rated for LED indicators, but that wont get here until Tuesday :-(

I am still really confused though, never had an issue like this before (never used resistors) but to melt a 30amp fuse is pretty extream? Lucky I had a spare and popped that in, now at least I have some power for a ride, bit not happy about lack of indicators lol.

    Cheers
