Hello everybody, as the title says.... My mate bought a new battery for his Daytona 675, and then promptly plumbed it in back to front.... DOH!
I'm going up to help him fix it on the weekend, but have never really been under the skin on a 675. I'm guessing that he has blown out the main fuse.
    Where is it located?
Anything else likely to have blown?
Anyone else dumb enough to do this?

    Cheers for any answers.

The ecu should be protected from such an occurrence.
I take it he turned it around and the bike wouldn't start ?
Otherwise he would have kept quiet about it !!!

First step is checking fuses, other than that can't offer much help.
Not the best thing to do to a bike.

I know shag all about electrics.

All I can really add is my agreement. Your mate is indeed a bellend.

I think his is an older one, an 06 or 07. I'm sure the fuses are apparent somewhere, and no... never the best thing to do to yer bike...
He seemed to think that the main fuse was under the tank somewhere, I will google it..
Hopefully just blown it out and that's that. Aside from the piss taking of course..

Maybe you should test the battery first as follows :-
    1. Place your mates testicles on the positive terminal.
    2. Place his bell end on the negative terminal.

If he squeals a bit the battery is knackered.
If his balls catch fire the battery is good.

Not sure about about an 06/07 plate, but main fuse on my 09 is under the seat right at the Base of the tank. Regulator rectifier will be on the RHS under the fairing, you don't even need to pull the Fairing, just take the inner sill off , the indicator bolt and one of the fairing bolts, pull the clips and your laughing
