Looks smells and works the same to me! Just need to find out what the muc off bike spray and shine stuff is and I'll rip that off too! I'm sure I recognise the smell kg it from somewhere?

I have seen it elsewhere that Muc-off is a bit acidic, (or maybe caustic?) and whilst it cleans well enough, if you leave it on too long it can attack certain surfaces. Never used it myself so I have no first-hand knowledge of its effectiveness etc, but a little caution may be wise until you get used to it. o_O

Of course, I may be talking utter bollox ... again! But it is just what I have read on another forum. As I say - no personal knowledge.

Now when I were a lad there was a product called " gunk " which was the equivalent to the blood that ran the the Alien creatures veins. I don't suppose they still make that do they? In its original form not the eco friendly couldn't remove a bit of chip fat off a bit of glass form?
    Just asking

Only eco gunk now! You are right about muc off being harmful if left. But it does say not to let it dry before rinsing so don't go washing the bike in full sun!

GUNK is best for really oily engines ( yes I had a 1960 Triumph), Muc-off really shifts dead flys from the bike if you allow it to soak in. It also cleans the brake dust from car alloy wheels but don't leave it on too long ! Also got some £1 stuff from Poundland but not tried it yet.
