Got around 45 mpg on the Speed and getting fractionally more on the Tiger 800 XC. Within reason fuel consumption is not a high priority for me when choosing a bike. Comfort, looks and performance......

My other half gets about 50mpg...mind you she's running it in at the moment.
Let's ask Richard how long it takes to break a new Tiger 800.....not long!

MPG isn't something i'm overly worried about, More important how good the tank range is as somethimg that can do around 220 - 230 + miles on a tank is what I would be looking for.
Something ike the KTM RC8 only have a 90 mile range is a complete waste of time for me.

I normally look for smiles per gallon rather than miles per gallon :upyeah: but as you asked ( i know you are looking for the Streets MPG but thought i would chip in as the forum is quiet again... ) On my Speed its normally just under 40 but i reset the trip today and rode like a gilf and got 44 - 45 ffs! and it was the most boring 40 odd miles i've ever done!

Not sure what I get out of my Bonnie, but my NC700x which I use for my daily commute gives me 83 mpg at 70-75 mph.

Ride smoother, gradual throttle opening and closing, slow down smoothly, improve your observation skills and you will become more fluid and fuel enconony will improve.

    Or

Wring the guts out of the bike, sod the economy and enjoy the ride.

I'd Like to hear from Thruxton owners on this, according to the specs its a 16 litre ( 3.5 gallon) tank and mpg is quoted at 56mpg at 75mph which would give you 161 miles to the tank, My fuel light comes on at around 100 miles and I haven't had the guts to run it past 120 miles before refuelling which usually leaves me with about 2 litres in the tank, I think. This means I am running at about 40 mpg. Does this sound about right?
I have an EFI model, British Custom Predator Pipes, DNA air filter with TTP airbox and appropriate MAP.

I prefer the second option but im planning a trip to italy and back and at my current mpg its gonna cost a fortune, so it will probably be the first.

I got around 58 up to a best of 63 mpg out of my T100 when I first got it, so around 143 miles between fill ups.
Now its down to about 51 mpg with 125 main jets, K&N filter and Dunstall exhausts and with me riding it a bit quicker!

I've had 67mpg displayed on the bikes (2014 Street Triple) computer but also had 37mpg never actually verified either of these by then taking it to the petrol station brimming the tank and doing the sums, so no guaranteed figures.

The 67mpg was a nice quiet chilled run back from Taunton to Bristol on the A38 never really getting above 55mph and all pretty smooth. Never had it display less than 37mpg ...am I not riding it correctly?? ;)

You must have the early model which is thirsty, triumph addressed this issue when they developed the newer model, eg 50 mpg round town for my bike

Front sprocket is down 1 tooth and rear is up 1 tooth so quicker acceleration and lower mpg in 6th gear

A fill up cost me £18, and lasts 120 miles (fuel light comes on at 110miles)
    50mph in 6th is about 70mpg
    70mph isn 6th is around 50-55mpg
    80mph+ in 6th is under 40mpg (briefly)

My journeys are 50% motorway and 50% inner London by distance and 25% motorway and 75% inner London by time

    Average Mpg is 45mpg
